Voyager Flight Simulation welcomes Martin our first wheelchair user
A couple of months ago Patricia called from a Google search to enquire about accessibility in our Boeing 737 flight simulator. Martin her husband was a travel agent and loved to travel around the world. Regretfully he is now severely limited in where he can go so Patricia thought it would be a lovely idea if he could come in to our flight deck while she flew and give him the experience of flying somewhere. Their choice of destination was Table Mountain, in Cape Town, South Africa and Patricia flew around for some spectacular views. Martin thoroughly enjoyed the experience. When we had the vision for our flight simulator venture we very much wanted to include as many people as possible. Our building Voyager House has a disabled parking space and ramp access to the front door. Inside we have ramp access into our cabin and flight deck and there is enough room for a wheelchair in the flight deck. If you are able to transfer independently from wheelchair to pilots then you can also fly with us. Happy flying!
